For reasons I don't even remember, I decided to
throw together a quick pirate costume. Maybe I thought one of my friends was coming with
me to Pirate Invasion at MRF and needed a costume? That was probably it. At any rate, and
for whatever reason, here follows a brief description as well as photos of the costume. I
never wore this anywhere except the backyard to take the pictures last summer, lol.
This was done by just throwing together various costume pieces I had either made, or had
lying around. The blouse was my Renaissance Wench blouse that I wear with a lot of
costumes. The stripped pants I got from Annapolis a long time ago because I knew
they would come in handy for a costume one day. The over-tunic is the tunic I made
for my Faramir
costume, and the Pirate's medallion is none other than the Aztec coin I bought for my 'Black Pearl Gown'.
For the boots, I used rather un-seafaring-looking riding boots (these are for my Rohan
costumes, lol!) the scarf was something a friend of mine brought back from Turkey, and of
course, the sharpest sword in my collection, the boarding sword. (I sliced myself pretty
well playing with it one night, *l*)
That's about it! Cheers!

These were all taken
out behind our house last summer. Thanks to Brynn for shooting these! :-) |
